Voice Recognition Enhancements

BRIT has enhanced the MedSpeak agent, the glue that connects The Radiology Workbench to voice recognition software. Using this product, a dictate button can be pressed on The Radiology Workbench. This triggers a process that automatically brings up the dictation window with the correct demographics for that exam. The radiologist can just start dictating, saving time and increasing accuracy. Supported recognition software includes:

  • TalkStation
  • PowerScribe
  • ViaVoice
  • MedSpeak

Version 1.7 of The Roentgen Files Released

The latest release of The Roentgen Files is now available. It contains some major enhancements, including:

  • In addition to supporting the latest releases of IBM AIX and DB2, Roentgen Files now also support the Linux platform, utilizing the Postgres database. Support for the popular Linux operating system provides a solution for smaller customers and departments.
  • Support for the new release of Tivoli Storage Manager products.
  • Prefetching, autorouting and reporting improvements.
  • Support for additional SOP classes (see the DICOM Conformance Statement), including DR.
  • 5upport for DICOM Storage Commitment class
  • Support for Detached Study Management.
  • DICOM Lossy and Lossless JPEG Transfer Syntaxes.
  • Integration with Voice Recognition systems and HIS/RIS.
